This lesson provide an introduction to the conservation of plant Genetic Resources. Different questions are explored, namely:

1. How individual components of biodiversity—genes, species, and ecosystems—provide society with a wide array of goods and services in the field of the Genetic Resources;

2. Hotspots of biodiversity and their distribution within the biogeographical regions. Threats to biodiversity and approaches to conserve the biodiversity. Molecular Techniques to Assess Plant Diversity;
